Ich bin ein Berliner

The 2017 annual office study trip took us to Berlin. It was 15 years since the last visit, so we were keen to see how the city had changed in that time.

After a short baggage drop at our hostel, we went straight to the Reichstag to see the city by night from the Norman Foster designed dome and it didn’t disappoint. The annual festival of light meant that some of the city’s most impressive landmarks were lit up with projections in spectacular fashion.

Our second day was spent on a walking tour of the city, taking in a tour of the Philhamonie Concert Hall, the spectacular new Central Station and the beautiful Chapel of Reconciliation on the former site of the Berlin Wall. On Saturday evening we met up with a former MGA team member, Lars, now living back in Hanover and we had a fantastic meal together.

On our final day we visited the fantastic, award-winning Neues Museum by David Chipperfield.
