Mason Gillibrand Architects is 30!

This year we are celebrating 30 years in practice. Back in 1986, Nick Gillibrand and Edward Mason set sail on an Architectural adventure that has resulted in a wide ranging portfolio of exciting designs all over the North of England, the Scottish Borders and North Wales.

Fast forward to 2016 and Mason Gillibrand continue to build on their regional reputation for high quality design and client service. We asked some of our recent clients to give us feedback on their experience with MGA:

We are still working with Mason Gillibrand having settled on a design and applied for planning. We have impressed with the way that Lee and Lucy have taken the time to really understand the way we live and what we need from our home, capturing our requirements in a design that we are delighted with and then working pragmatically to find ways to achieve the desired outcome. We have been left with a design for a home that really delivers for the way we live giving us all the functionality in what looks on paper to be a beautiful form. You get the feeling that they really care about the project as if it were their own.

Embarking on a new project to add a modern extension to a grade 2 listed house was exciting but would the end result add to the existing building and sit comfortably? We need not have worried. Mason Gillibrand provided an excellent sympathetic design to which we could add our own individual ideas.

It became a true partnership with MG providing us with wise advice and direction. Detail and quality of material was all important and MGʼs experience and expertise was crucial. Their expertise extended to helping source interior elements as well as external.

The final result has been a triumph which has provided immense pleasure.

Overall we found working with Mason Gillibrand was an extremely good and positive experience. Whilst our principal contact was the partner Paul Duckett, everyone we dealt within their team were extremely efficient, professional and friendly at all times - making the whole process both relatively relaxed and reassuring.

At the very beginning of the project Paul himself obtained a very clear understanding of our requirements and fully interpreted them within the scheme whilst still providing us with unexpected and very welcome ideas of his own.
