We are nearing completion on an exciting Barn project in the Lune Valley. The conversion and restoration work to the 17th Century Listed barn includes new insulating hemp lime plaster to upgrade the thermal performance of the building in a sensitive and sustainable way.
As the construction work continues up at 1692 Wasdale, near Gosforth in the Western Lake District, attentions turn to interiors and detailing. To help things along, Lee has been doing some sketches of the Bedroom Suites to give a flavour of the unusual mezzanine bathrooms in the lofty barns.
Construction work is coming along nicely at 1692 Wasdale, a luxury Bed and Breakfast development in Wasdale, the Western Lake District. The new windows and doors have been fitted and the contractors can finally enjoy working in the dry!
There will be 5 beautiful ensuite bedrooms and some great internal spaces created in the stone barns, some of which date back to 1692, hence the name!.
Well done to everyone involved in The Courtyard project near Settle, North Yorkshire. The barn conversion retail and restaurant development, completed in 2012 has been awarded a CPRE Mark from the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England. Well done to all involved.
